Moab’s high season is determined largely by the weather. We have moderate temperatures in March, April, May and June, with hot weather in July and August. Moderate temps return in September, October and into November. Winter is cold but mostly dry. You can expect more riders, jeepers and tourists in Moab during the spring and fall months.

One of Moab’s best kept secrets is well known to locals. The off season is the best time to come here. We are breaking the silence and risking possible torture telling you this so listen up! The hot days of summer unlock magical riding experiences. From first light to about 10 AM there is a magical cool to the air. The shadows lift as the sun climbs from behind the LaSal mountains to the east casting a brilliant glow on the rocks and canyons to the west. Sunrise in Moab brings even the most aggressive riders up short with a lump in their throat.

Winter in Moab is a time of solitude and exploration. The desert is yours to wander as the sun still shows itself nearly every day. Warm clothes and good planning will keep you riding year round here.
